THE LARGEST ONE-DAY EVENT FOR BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES

THE LARGEST ONE-DAY EVENT FOR BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES

WHAT IS KWANZAA CRAWL?

KWANZAA:A Holiday Celebrating BLACK Community, Family, and Culture

CRAWL:The Act of Traveling By Foot From One Bar To Another

Kwanzaa Crawl is the WORLD’S largest event supporting Black-owned businesses.

Thousands of Kwanzaa Crawlers divided into dozens of teams in Brooklyn, traveling from bar-to-bar singing and dancing, dressed in whatever makes them feel unapologetically Black and beautiful - That’s the magic of Kwanzaa Crawl.

It's a day of UNITY, FELLOWSHIP, and FUN!

We’ve been doing this for ten years, generated millions of dollars for local Black-owned businesses, and grown a community who helped us build this movement brick-by-brick. What started with 17 bars in 2016 has evolved into the largest Black bar crawl in the world, a Black vendor marketplace, a network of thousands who support the community, and shown the world what’s possible when we move together in unity.

That’s all worth celebrating, so this year we’re throwing our usual first night of Kwanzaa celebration AND a special summer Crawl!

Kwanzaa Crawl: Family Reunion

Saturday June 6, 2026

GET YOUR CRAWL ON!

  • STEP 1: join a team

Buy a ticket for the team you want to roll with. Your ticket gives you exclusive access to all participating Kwanzaa Crawl venues. They’ll be ready with DJs, food, drink specials, and more!

If you pick up your wristband in person at our Buy Black Marketplace, you’ll also snag a free Kwanzaa Crawl cup (while supplies last).

  • STEP 2: get your wristband

You must have your wristband before the day of the Crawl — it’s how venues identify our crawlers.

Option 1: Pick Up In Person (May 30 - 31, Brooklyn Navy Yard)
Enjoy our Buy Black Pop-Up, DJs, and community vibes. Early arrivals get a free Kwanzaa Crawl cup.

Option 2: Get It Mailed (Order by May 22)
Choose the shipping add-on at checkout to have your wristbands mailed before the Crawl.

  • STEP 3: dress up!

When we say put that s*** on, put that s*** on.

Doesn’t matter if you’re wearing your fav Black brand or your fav African print; your HBCU hoodie or a T-shirt that says “Big fro, act like you know.”  Wear whatever makes you feel unapologetically Black!

Dressing up isn’t required, but c’mon son. Don’t be that guy. #Unity

  • STEP 4: turn up

Meet your team at the Kick-Off, our big, central starting point where every squad comes together. This is where you link up with your team leaders, feel the energy of hundreds of crawlers, and take part in our Kwanzaa ceremony before hitting the streets.

It’s the party that launches the whole Crawl – a moment to charge up, get grounded in community, and tap into that melanin superpower before heading out to support Black-owned bars and restaurants all night long.

Once the beat drops… it’s time to get low. cue music
